ELSEWHERE ON THE INTERWEB
We're on Share Radio tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 11 am. We were interviewed by Sarah Pennells of Savvy Woman, along with John Lees (a career change expert) and Sara Howard, who's a life coach. The piece was about career breaks and career changes, and it's an essential listen if you're thinking of changing your career, or just having some time out!
PHOTO CORNER - YOUR MONTHLY DOSE OF INSPIRATION
It's time, not only for the Travel Photographer of the Year winners to be announced, but also those of the National Geographic Photographer of the Year. Some awe-inspiring images from around the world in both competitions!
If this has inspired you, you can enter the Wanderlust Travel Photographer of the Year competition, and if you've got kids, have them enter the Family Travel Show Young Photographer of the Year.
A baby elephant chasing a dog. Becuase why not?
TIP OF THE MONTH
Get a waterproof backpack liner for your daypack when you're going travelling. If you can't be bothered, can't afford it, or simply forget, wrap your most precious items in plastic bags. If the heavens open suddenly, you'll be glad that all your stuff isn't soaked through, even if you are!
This tip was brought to you by a rather fed up Career Break Site writer who lives in Manchester.
USEFUL THING OF THE MONTH
Interviewer: 'So where do you see yourself in 5-years time?'
Me: 'My biggest weakness? Probably not listening properly.'
September, being back to school time, is a good opportunity to start thinking about what your next year could be like. Do you want to be doing the same old thing, or, like school kids, do you want to move up a year, learning new stuff and making new friends? If you're in a dilemma, talk to us. We can help.
Until next time,
